My feet have done most of the talking. They carried me along the beachside at Maketū , through the towering Redwoods in Rotorua, and all the way up the Pāpāmoa hill Nature Trail with my friends.
When I wasn't out exploring the Bay I was jamming in I.C.T. I brought my own music to life and cut a mini video together using Suno songs. I have been pressing flowers into community Acts of kindness card making, rubbing autumn leaves onto paper, and crafting stars onto a vinyl record for Matariki.
I walked down to Mitre 10 to buy microfiber gloves, making it a lot easier to scrub the van and wipe down the windows until they shone. I hit the local supermarket for supplies, coming back to whip up date scones and a chocolate self saucing pudding to share with my friends.
There were loud days, like playing basketball and singing karaoke with our Greerton friends when they visited our studio or watching Michael at United Cinema, Bayfair. But there were quiet, important days too, like sitting in the People First meeting learning how to keep my money safe, and talking about boundaries in life skills.
To wrap it all up, I walked down to the local bowling club, ordered a cold refreshing Coke and lined up a shot on the pool table with my friends.
